ABOUT US
The Black Liberation Church exists to share the love of GOD while re-presenting, YESHUA/JESUS—The CHRIST, in the 21st century through an Africentric lens. Our vision is to undergird Black men, women and children, as well as, the institution of the Black family with historical education, spiritual edification and practical application that leads to personal growth and transformation, stronger Black families and healthy Black communities.
OUR MISSION
To be an epicenter of spiritual development while serving as a community resource and empowerment zone in West Harlem for Black men, women, children and families.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in GOD, as the Supreme Creator. We believe, YESHUA/JESUS, The CHRIST, is the Messiah who reflects the logic of GOD. We believe in the HOLY SPIRIT, as the divine presence in our lives, whereby, we are kept in perpetual remembrance of the truth of CHRIST. We believe in the importance of navigating the intersectionality of spirituality and culture, particularly for Black people in North America and throughout the African diaspora.
OUR COMMUNITY
The Black Liberation Church is a bible based, CHRIST-centered church, rooted in Africentricity. We approach the Bible through the lens of a Black Social Theory, which affirms Black people's connection and relationship to their ancestors in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible.
